About
Aisling Coughlan was born in Dublin in 1962, and gained a degree in psychology before studying at The National College of Art and Design in Dublin.
She has exhibited in the group exhibition at the Inishbofin Arts Festival for two years and takes part each year in the Incognito Exhibition at the Solomon Gallery in Dublin. She had work accepted in the 139th Royal Ulster Academy exhibition, 192nd RHA annual exhibition and was shortlisted for the Zurich Portrait Prize 2022.
In 2019 Aisling took part in Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year.
Aisling is a figurative artist and works in oil, acrylic and watercolour. She draws most of her inspiration from the people and animals she loves. She responds to the emotional nature of this process.
